Keb’ Mo’ at Bluesfest [Music]

Keb‘ Mo’s mellow musings entertained us during our first act at the festival.

Born in Los Angeles in the 1950’s, his appreciation for Blues and Gospel gave him the motivation he needed to start his musical career playing the steel drums in a calypso band. From there, he moved to play in a variety of blues bands as a singer, as well as playing guitar and harmonica.

In 1994, he released his self-titled debut album, “Keb‘ Mo’“. This is the album that turned me onto Keb‘ Mo’, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for harmonious lyrics, a soulful voice, and an all-around good listen.
